Maker Party Bhubaneshwar

It was a great fun in Bhubaneshwar. Two Maker parties in a row of two differents college on 23rd  & 24th August 2014. we were at the Center of IT & Management Education (CIME)  and  Institute of Technical Education & Research(ITER) where we were asked to address a crowd of 100 participants.  It was great to saw lovely enthusiasm and love to teach, share , making all in together. We taught them Webmaking, beacuse that was the main goal maker party but also we cover basic project.

On Sunday, we Sayak Sarkar, Priyanka Nag , Umesh Agarwal, Sumantro , me (Sukanta ) and RishPrasanna  were went for another  fabulous event  at Institute of Technical Education & Research(ITER), Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Universitycollege, where we were welcomed by around 400 participants, all filled with energy, egar to learn.
Our agenda was very simple, Introduction to Mozilla. We kept the tracks interactive and very open ended. On both days, we did cover the following topics:
  • Mozilla Products and projects
  • Ways of contributing to Mozilla
  • Intro to Webmaker tools
  • Hands-on session on Thimble
  • Popcorn and X-ray goggles and Appmaker
we  giving away some cool swags as tokens of appreciation like e T-shirts, badges, stickers etc, to the people who had been extra awesome among the group.


P.S – Not to forget, we did manage to grab media’s attention as well. The event was covered by a local newspaper.

It was great experience indeed, can’t express my felling through words. Thanks a lot each one of you making it so special and great experience all together. Love to see for event like this. Cheers!
